Jestoni DagDag

Founder, Artistic Director

Jestoni is a choreographer, dancer, and instructor based in Long Beach, CA. Born in the Philippines, he moved to the United States at the age of 14. He was introduced to his first formal dance class at Fullerton College, and soon became deeply passionate with the art form.

A few years later, he transferred to the University of California, Irvine. There, he earned a BFA in Dance Performance in 2015, and received an Excellence in Dance Performance arts award. He has had the pleasure of dancing with companies such as Shaun Boyle and Artists, Donald Mckayle’s Etude Ensemble, Multiplex Dance, Palm Dance Collective LA, Re:borN Dance Interactive, and Southern California Dance Theatre.

After performing multiple years as a freelance dancer, he

has developed a new passion for choreography. Jestoni founded DAGDAG Dance in 2017 to further nourish his choreographic endeavors. Most importantly, to provide performance opportunities for local dancers and to collaborate with local musicians in Long Beach and the greater Los Angeles area. As an artistic director, Jestoni hopes to bring out the best from his dancers and collaborators, and to continue learning from them.
